After our Christmas at the Farm, we headed North to Illinois. Mom & Dad don't really live in a big city but there is a Super Wal-Mart 8 miles away. :) The trip there was slow going and we ended up spending the night about two hours away because it was getting late and the roads were pretty bad. We got a good deal on a hotel and got to stay in a really nice room. So after a good night's sleep, we got up in time to make it to my parent's church and even got to see the annual cantata where my dad starred as King Herod.

The Odell Christmas begins with Mom's yummy coffee cake. She makes it in the shape of a Christmas wreath and decorates it complete with sprinkles and little cherries. After that Dad reads the Christmas story and we share presents!!
I really do not do a good job of taking pictures when there are so many fun things going on. I will post the few I have, but Jessica (my sis-in-law) took a lot of good ones of our time together. If you are on her blog list, you can check them out. We all are so grateful for all our presents!!

We also got to be with our extended family which was a lot of fun and a special treat to be able to see them two months in a row!! Anna and Abree are exactly the same age and had fun together once again. The kids made some snowman cookies. It was a challenge to see if they could make a cute snowman before all the tasty candies that were supposed to be his decorations disappeared!
We left Illinois ready to be home after being gone for so many days, but so refreshed and encouraged after being with both of our families. Thank you all for the wonderful time!!
